Welcome to OACC’s website.
The definition of association is a “group of people who voluntarily come together to solve problems, meet common needs and accomplish common goals.” OACC’s common goal is to help private career colleges and their students succeed. Private career colleges are an important part of Ontario’s educational landscape – and have been for 140 years. More than 46,000 highly skilled individuals graduate from the province’s career colleges every year.
Going forward, OACC will continue to focus on our core values concisely captured in the tag line “Strong Voice, Strong Support and Student Success.” In 2010-2011, OACC will advocate for equality in post secondary education, work to increase the quality of our sector, provide important services to members and enhance student success. To do this, we will engage OACC members and create a culture of trust and collaboration. OACC will move forward with a new strategy to define success in 2010-2011 that focuses on quality and fosters better participation.
I look forward to working towards our shared goals over the next year.
Yours in education,
